Dear Editor,
I recently saw a TV interview with Sali Somebody who was talking about a spring bear hunt for Nova Scotia, which she and the Hunting Rights or the Hunters Rights association think would be a very good idea.
“It’s been very successful in other provinces,” said Sali. “And it’s a good way to control them” by which I presume she was talking about controlling the bears. The bears in Nova Scotia are not out of control. Spring is obviously the worst time to be hunting bears or any other critters unless you want to completely wipe out the species, and then you’d have no more fun killing animals.
Sincerely,
Jasmine Jones
