Dan Doiron Band heads to International Blues Challenge

Dan Doiron

A Port Hood native and his band are off to The International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
If the opportunity to represent Atlantic Canada for the second time at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis this week isn’t enough excitement, the Dan Doiron band has some extra momentum heading into 2018 with the announcement of a publishing, distribution, and managing agreement with legendary, Chicago-based Blues record label and management corporation Earwig Music Company, Inc. Established in 1978, Earwig music has a long celebrated reputation, with a focus of strong songwriting as a requirement to be released on the label.
“I am so excited and feel so fortunate to be working with Earwig Music. Their vast experience, knowledge, and focussed approach to artist development and exposure is a huge opportunity and I am so grateful,” said Doiron.
This partnership agreement coincides with upcoming release of Livin’ Centre Stage, Dan’s fourth album, inspired by his project to encourage people to follow their passion regardless of age or stage in life.
“Since making the decision to pursue my music full time a few years ago, I have met so many people who have encouraged me to follow my passion and I want to pass on that motivation to others. Michael Frank, the founder and CEO of Earwig Music, has over 40 years of experience in the music industry and is a certified life coach and his partner Steven Hausheer, is a music business consultant and digital marketing professional with diverse experience into the complexities of making music and making a living making music from both the artist’s and executive’s perspectives. I am very excited to work together to develop opportunities for my music and the Livin’ Centre Stage initiative,” Doiron concluded.
